Relationship advice, Is it worth it?

Sounds like he's depressed. That can be pretty hard to live with and he'll have a hard time thinking about your feeling while he's that way. Can you handle that? I wouldn't put too much stock into that note he wrote. He could have just been lying to make the old gf feel better.
