Are tylenol and ibuprofen anti-inflammatory? If not, what over-the-counter med is?

I have a lot of inflammation going on in my shoulders and knees and at fifty, the doctor says it's something I have to live with now. I can't see him very often and he talks really fast, and I'm still not clear on the question of anti-inflammation meds. I also can't take Aleve as it gives me side effects.
