Can i legally use my husbands check?

My husband is incarcerated in county jail,i saw the da seeing if i could get the charges drop,it don't seem likely.we are on ssi,being married are cases are join.he wants his money next month to bond out but i need his money to keep afloat.being married we get 500 a piece.if i keep his money i'll be able to keep afloat but if i give him his money and he bonds out there's a chance he'll be on the street.with were is charges lay in the systems in till the case is figure out he won't be able to live with me most likely.What would happen if i spent his money?is it illegal to keep his money.i'm trying to make sure he has something to come back to and keep afloat.any one know if legal or not.torn in half with what to do?
