1.45% of your gross pay goes to fund Medicare. Do you really think thats enough to pay all your medical bills?

Maybe we could cut military spending to pay for it. Actual military spending currently takes up more than three-fourths of ALL tax revenues the government receives. The US spends almost as much on military as the entire rest of the world combined. If military spending was cut down to reasonable levels, the US could easily provide health care for its citizens and balance the budget at the same time.
